A note from Joey

Welcome to the adventure.

Hi, I'm Joey. I grew up in Kitsap County, Washington, and the mountains here will always be home.

About six years ago I picked up a camera to document trips with my friends. I had no idea where it would lead. For years I was a fifth grade teacher, fitting adventures into weekends and summer breaks. This spring I left the classroom to create full time. I still miss my students, but now I get to chase what I care about.

A lot has changed since I picked up that camera. I went from being around people who did not want the best for me to building a life with people who do. The life I have now is shaped by the people I have met along the way and by my faith.

I know time is limited. You only get one life, and I want to see as much of this earth as I can while I am here. Most of the time Cass is right beside me, whether we are chasing fall color in the Cascades or sailing through the Norwegian fjords.
